This is not a Class D amplifier. It has a massive toroidal transformer power supply, so it provides excellent reproduction of bass with a high damping factor of 300. This is also why it weighs about 30 pounds. The built-in crossover is perfect for providing power for a bi-amp or tri-amp system.
